Indonesian Craft
I import many one of a kind, hand-crafted items from Indonesia. I feel that these crafts are reasonably priced for the amount of work involved. The fun with carrying the Indonesian crafts is I never know exactly what I am going to get. I can give my contact a general idea of the type of items I want but it’s kind of like Christmas when the container arrives, there are always surprises.
So browse through these items and I will try to make your experience as fun as mine. Keep in mind I may not have a the specific item you see in the pictures. So call or e-mail me and I will walk you through what I do have. I can also digitally photograph a selection of items and e-mail the photo to you so you can pick. If you are looking for a specific animal and you don’t see it here let me know and I will attempt to get that animal for you. This process may take a while and we can’t specify colors or style; so you will be as surprised and have as much fun as me.

Chinaberry Sculptures
These unique sculptures are carved from Chinaberry wood.
The mushroom-like structures are from a parasitic plant that grows on
the tree in the jungles of Indonesia. The artisans remove the branch discards
the parasite and carves this one of a kind creation. I should always have
these items in stock but let's talk about other items not depicted here.

Colorado Trout
These hand carved and painted trout are native to Colorado. This is an item that we asked the craftsmen to do specifically for us. There are four species: Rainbow / Brown / Brook / Green Back Cutthroat. I should always have these items in stock. $39.00 each.

Chinese Coin Animals
In Bali during Hindu cremation ceremonies it is traditional to toss offerings of Chinese coins into the fire. When the melted coins had cooled children gathered the metals to sell to craftsmen to create animal forms. These bronze/brass animals are made to commemorate that ancient tradition. Approximate price range from $6.00 to $50.00.

Balinese Sprit Chasers
Traditionally in Bali these were hung in the rooms of children as a means of keeping evil spirits away. There are numerous characters depicted in the Sprit Chasers, including the serpent or dragon, “Naga”; the horse, “Kuda; the angel, Dewi and many others depending on the carver’s desire. Hang them in any room to ward off evil sprits! Each piece is one-of-a-kind, carved and painted by hand. Prices vary according to size and detail. Approximate price range from $16.00 to $60.00.
